TRIZ Engineering Solutions is looking for an experienced technician to perform the tasks of a Supplier Quality Coordinator. This role requires the incumbent to work closely with Engineers and Lead Engineers and the Autocar SDM Team, possessing the ability to fit into the DNA of the company culture that is dynamic and embraces change. Apart from a contained and well-rounded person with a high EQ level, he/she will be required to deal with complexity in a fast-paced environment. The person needs to be a self-starter with attention to detail and bring a positive energy to the work environment, with a willingness to excel in the role.

We provide end-to-end engineering services for commercial vehicle engineering and development from feasibility and conceptualization, through productionization and service support. Our solutions include zero emissions such as battery electric- and fuel cell- as well as hybrid- or conventional-powered products. We also offer solutions for other advanced vehicle technologies such as ADAS, vehicle autonomy, and telematics. Our services are turnkey solutions that are validation tested and ready for mass production.

Our product development expertise includes medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles in applications such as delivery, bus, motorhome, off highway, refuse and several other specialized and vocational vehicle markets.

Job Summary:

As a Supplier Quality Coordinator, the incumbent will play a critical administrative role to ensure the quality and compliance of parts supplied to our automotive production clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that PPAP parts are organized and reviewed at production plants and that results are documented.
  • Administratively organizing incoming inspections with personnel at production sites.
  • Coordinating corrective actions.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Preparing regular reports on PPAP parts status, document submissions, and SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests).

This role requires occasional travel (≤10%) and proficiency in Microsoft Office, measuring tools, and reading technical prints.

Requirements:

  • National Diploma or BTech in quality, mechanical and or electrical engineering field.
    Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a project engineering and quality control (automotive industry would be beneficial).
  • Exposure to PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and CAPA (Corrective Action and Preventive Action)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project administration/co- ordination experience
  • Excellent communication (assertiveness) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to compile reports
  • Proficiency with measuring tools and reading prints
  • Ability to measure parts and perform incoming inspections
  • Effective management of corrective actions
  • Maintenance of good relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. PPAP Parts:

  • Coordinate the organizing and logging incoming PPAP parts into the QCHOLD PPAP Parts Log.
  • Ensuring parts review before releasing to production.
  • Disposition PPAP parts status in the PPAP Parts Log.
  • Ensure part conformance to drawings, with or without deviations is documented.
  • Prepare weekly reports for PPAP parts status, processing, and completion.

2. PPAP Documents:

  • Ensure that incoming PPAP document packets are reviewed, and files created on P drive.
  • Ensure parts with created files are logged into the PPAP catalogue and assigned to SDM.
  • Review documents for completeness and consult with SDM.
  • Relay PPAP statuses to suppliers and retrieve corrections if needed.
  • Prepare weekly reports for PPAP submissions, statuses, and completions.

3. CAPA (Supplier Corrective Action and Preventive Action):

  • Review open SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Report) and ensure the adequacy of information submitted to suppliers.
  • Ensure teams are working towards the closure of SCARs.
  • Assist in the coordination of containment actions as necessary.
  • Assist in the coordination of incoming inspections driven by SCARs.
  • Prepare reports for SCARs opened status, completion, and next step ownership.

Working Hours:

08h00 –17h00, Monday to Friday (subject to change) with core hours and flexi time, and may require over time as per project.
