Triz Engineering Solutions is looking for a Electrical Lead Enigneer to form part of our engineering team, with theability to fit into the DNA of our company culture that is dynamic and embraces change. Triz Engineering Solutions (www.trizengineering.com) is a premium product engineering and development company specializing in end-to-end turn-key commercial vehicle development.

We provide end to end engineering services for commercial vehicle engineering and development from feasibility and conceptualization, through productionization and service support. Our solutions include zero emissions such as battery electric- and fuel cell- as well as hybrid- or conventional powered products. We also offer solutions for other advanced vehicle technologies such as ADAS, vehicle autonomy and telematics. Our services are turnkey solutions that are validation tested and ready for mass production.

Our product development expertise includes medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles in applications such as delivery, bus, motorhome, off highway, refuse and several other specialized and vocational vehicle markets.

1. Objective:

To lead and enhance the electrical design capabilities within Triz Engineering Solutions, ensuring high-quality engineering outputs, effective project management, and exceptional customer satisfaction.

2. Requirements:

  • BEng, B.Sc or B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 8 to 10 years of post-graduate engineering design experience, preferably wiring design and controller integration in the automotive electrical design environment.
  • Be willing to travel overseas for variable periods depending on the particular needs at that time.

3. Key Results Areas (KRAs):

Team Leadership:
• Develop and lead a cohesive electrical design team.
• Implement strategies to optimize team performance and collaboration.

Customer Interface and Resource Utilization:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to prioritize design resource allocation.
• Ensure efficient utilization of design resources based on customer requirements.

Engineering Project Management:
• Delegate tasks effectively to engineering personnel.
• Manage project timelines to achieve milestones and promptly address deviations.
• Technical Guidance and Compliance:
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to design engineers.
• Ensure designs comply with customer specifications and industry standards.

Design Reviews and Integration:
• Organize and lead internal design reviews to ensure technical soundness.
• Conduct design reviews with customers and suppliers to validate design integrity.

CAD Design and Product Data Management (PDM):
• Perform CAD design tasks, including 3D modelling and the creation of 2D drawings.
• Maintain accurate product data within customer PDM systems.

Production Support and Project Execution:
• Support custom order engineering requests and prioritize design projects.
• Oversee administrative tasks, including performance reviews, mentorship, and training.

• Successful outcomes of internal and customer design reviews.
• Improvement in design accuracy and integrity.

CAD Design Efficiency:
• Timely completion of CAD design tasks.
• Accuracy and completeness of 3D models and 2D drawings.

Administrative Excellence:
• Completion of performance reviews and development plans.
• Successful implementation of mentorship and training programs.

Working Hours:

08h00 –17h00, Monday to Friday (subject to change) with core hours and flexi time and may require over time as per project.
